hello elaine,
thanks again for continualy answering my questions. like so many of us, figuring out the ins and outs of this thing would've proved much more difficult without you.
so i am convinced, without doubt, after three different attempts to stop the meds that they absolutely protect my eyes. i don't know if i'm hyper or hypo...i have symptoms that vascilate and tend to pull from both catagories. my t3 and t4 were mid-range/low last test. my hair went through a phase of falling out and i gained weight (i am now 15 pounds heavier than my normal weight). but yet, when i stopped the meds, my eyes starting hurting like crazy on day five and i got some heart palipatations and insomnia (both i understand can by symptoms of hypo, right?).
i think there are ways this autoimmune disorder affects us that we don't even totally have in words yet. we can scientifically document how it affects the thyroid but can we see all the other ways it is affecting the body?
also... i read one of the side affects of tapazole is hair loss...
thanks,
monica
