Dosing

Elaine,

I'm on 1.25 mg every other day, and have been for about a week now. I'm still gaining weight. I gained 2 pounds over this last weekend. I went through a spurt the early part of last week were my hair was coming out in balls. It was crazy, I think I lost an eighth of the hair on my head. Luckily that has stopped. How much lower can I possibly go on these meds?

I'm having new labs drawn today...I'm very curious to see whats going on in there. My eyes have stopped twitching again. I really think when my levels fall to low my eyes start twitching, there's been such a correlation to when I lower the meds the twitching stops, and when I increase the meds the twitching starts.

I'm still questing to find a doctor that can help me with identifying my triggers, and any additional info in healing my immune system. I saw an integrative doc last week who said i should stop all grains for a minimum of 3 weeks. She recommends the paleothic diet, and said she felt this was an issue caused by GMOs.

Thanks,

Monica

Hi,

If your thyroid levels look ok, your integrative doc would probably ok your going off meds even if TSH is still low. Dr. Mercola finds grains to be a significant autoimmune disease trigger. The way they're altered, many people react to them.

Even with a low TSH, look carefully at your thyroid hormone levels. If they're on the low side you may be moving spontaneously into hypothyroidism. Your low ATD dose shouldn't be having much of an effect. Best, Elaine
