Hi Elaine,

This is Jeremy again. Thanks for the wonderful site, i have been following closely for forum update and have learnt a great deal.

I am interested to know more of this product thytrophin PMG which is used to support a healthy thyroid. Have you heard of it? My friend who believe in homeopathic medicine claim that this can reduce thyroid antibody significantly.

Hi,

The name of this product is a bit misleading since thyrotropin is another name for TSH, and this product doesn't contain TSH. I tried it some years ago and didn't find that it lowered thyroid antibodies. Homeopathic products are helpful, but this product is a standardized hormone extract rather than a homeopathic product. It's usually sold by chiropractors.

It is important to lower thyroid antibodies and anything you can do to help your immune system heal will help in this regard. This includes avoiding environmental triggers, avoiding sugar and saturated fats, and using immunomodulators such as plant sterols and sterolins. Best, Elaine
