Thanks Elaine for your feedback.
I just had another bloodtest done (1 month after the previous one) and thyroid levels are back within range:
fT4: 11pmol/L
fT3: 3.5pmol/L
TSH: 0.36mIU/L
I guess this would fit both the silent thyroiditis picture as well as the Hashimoto one.
I have eliminated the other possibilities you suggested as I have a very healthy diet, don't take metabolic boosters, I am on no medication, have had no Iodine contrast dyes and had no surgeries.
What puzzles me is whether silent thyroiditis can cause to swing the thyroglobulin Ab this much out of range (Thyroglobulin Ab 254U/ml) ? I thought that was exactly a sign of an autoimmune thyroid condition?
Kind regards,
Marthune
PS I have requested a TSH receptor ab test as well as a thyroid scan.

Hi Marthune,

Your thyroglobulin antibody test result is moderately elevated, and this is sometimes seen in thyroiditis. In Hashimoto's the TgAb level is usually much higher. Based on your current labs, it does look as though you had thyroiditis, which is resolving. You'll still want regular thyroid function tests for a while to make sure you don't swing into a hypothyroid phase. Best, elaine
