Hello again Elaine
Thank you so very much for answering all of my recent questions concerning setpoint, symptoms, dosing etc. I understand things much more clearly now.
The hyper symptoms I had been experiencing in early January lasted about 2 wks. and had a regular appointment with my endo towards the end of that time - I agreed with the dose increase because of the duration of the symptoms (not surprisingly for her, my endo was concerned I was going hyper and also wanted to see my TSH increase (sigh).
If I had to/could choose between hypo and hyper symptoms, I'd take hyper anyday and will admit I'm anxious to find my setpoint after almost 2 years into this Graves' journey.
As you know, the dose increase suited me well for 8 wks. but, at 11 wks., the hypo symptoms started and they continued with the addition of more hypo symptoms.
Ironically, shortly after increasing my dose, you had posted on someone else's thread and mentioned that the stress of the holidays, etc. could cause an increase in FT4.
I began to suspect this might have been the case for me.
This question remains open in my mind.....if, after two weeks of hyper symptoms, do you think the body could still correct itself or do you think a dose increase (temporary?) is appropriate?
Thanks for everything!
Carol
