Elaine, no need to post this--I just wanted to say thank you for your help last week with my post. Your info was so helpful, but surprisingly, or perhaps as to be expected, the nurse I spoke with didn't validate a thing I said. She said my broken nails could be from anything, and ditto for the hair falling out. She also said they were hoping that the TSH and T4 would improve as the T3 did. So I am left deciding whether to continue their plan and let my levels get so bad they have to do something, or just dosing myself and going back to 50 mg a day. So far, I have just not been able to take the 100 mg. I may have to look for a doctor in Ann Arbor or something. But anyway--that's not your responsibility. It is really surprising to me how little doctors (or nurses are the ones I end up talking to most times) seem to listen. It's like they think we are not smart or not interested. I am just surprised that they did not call and explain that my T4 had dropped and all of that. Maybe most just hear the message that all is well, and that's enough for them.
Anyway--the important part of this message is just the thanks part. At least there is somewhere to find more information about GD--and I am really glad for your site.
Thanks!
TB
